Council lists these facilities: Large park area, children's play equipment, flying fox, water views and BBQs with undercover picnic tables.
Finding the park
Wangal Reserve is at Hilly Street, Mortlake. Allow time to find a park close to where you're setting up, and tell us the exact spot so we can plan the carry-in.
Good to know
- Power: Ask Council when you book whether power is available. If it isn't, add a generator to your hire.
- Pegs and surfaces: Tell us whether the castle is going on grass or a hard surface so we can bring sandbags if needed.
- Weather: Bring shade and plenty of water on hot days. We can't run castles in strong wind or rain.
Council rules and bookings
City of Canada Bay parks are first come, first served and can't be booked for exclusive use, and that includes barbecues and benches. Council says private groups of fewer than 80 people don't need to notify it, unless you want a jumping castle. In that case, you need to make a booking through Council's online booking portal. Council's public pages don't list the fee or the insurance needed for this, so check with Council when you book. Call 9911 6555.
